About The Position

LPS Services is hiring dependable employees to support active oil and gas operations. No previous security, traffic-control or oilfield experience is required—paid training is provided. There’s always room to grow at LPS. As you build your skills and experience, you can advance into higher-level positions with increased pay and greater responsibility.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years old for Security Officer, Traffic Controller and Staging Attendant positions, or 21 for Pilot Driver and Mobile Security Patrol Officer positions.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Have a reliable personal vehicle with current registration and insurance.
  • Own a working smartphone.
  • Be comfortable using iPads, laptops and communication applications.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Demonstrate dependable attendance, organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Remain alert throughout a 12-hour shift.
  • Be able to work independently and outdoors in varying weather when required.
  • Work the schedule associated with the assigned position.
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and comply with applicable company drug-testing requirements.
  • Follow company, client and site safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Help protect active oil and gas locations by monitoring access and maintaining accurate site records.
  • Check identification and required safety credentials.
  • Monitor visitors, vehicles and secured lease-road entrances.
  • Record site activity using an iPad or laptop.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and written logs.
  • Communicate professionally with employees, contractors and drivers.
  • Report incidents, emergencies and unusual activity.
  • Follow site procedures and provide CPR and First Aid when necessary.
  • Help keep oilfield traffic moving safely and efficiently.
  • Direct traffic and provide clear instructions to drivers.
  • Communicate with drivers and coworkers using a CB radio.
  • Monitor roadway, traffic and weather conditions.
  • Follow established traffic-control procedures.
  • Report unsafe conditions, incidents and emergencies.
  • Remain alert throughout the assigned shift.
  • Help organize truck traffic and keep daily oilfield operations running smoothly.
  • Enter truck, driver and dispatch information using an iPad or laptop.
  • Coordinate truck dispatch and movement.
  • Monitor staging areas and maintain accurate records.
  • Report delays, incidents and unusual activity.
  • Travel between oil and gas locations to inspect equipment and work sites, document findings and report concerns.
  • Pick up your company vehicle and equipment at our Houston office.
  • Drive to assigned locations.
  • Inspect equipment and work sites.
  • Collect information and complete electronic records using an iPad.
  • Identify and mark issues using approved materials.
  • Report findings to management.
  • Return the vehicle and equipment to the office at the end of your shift.
