About The Position
Take 5 Oil Change is hiring full-time crew members and lube technicians. No prior experience is required; the company provides paid training to teach team members how to change oil, replace wiper blades and air filters, fill tires with air, and perform other light maintenance services. The role offers base pay and commissions of up to $15 per hour. Team members may advance through the company, and more than 90% of shop managers started as lube technicians. The position involves performing oil changes and other light vehicle maintenance, maintaining shop inventory and cleanliness, and providing customer service. Full-time and flexible schedules are available. Requirements
- No prior experience is required; willingness to learn, work hard, and bring a positive attitude is expected.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow, 3-foot-deep pit to position safely under cars.
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning for extended periods.
- Must be willing to work in hot or cold weather conditions if necessary.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop.
- Must be over 18 years of age, except applicants over 16 may qualify in Arizona, Idaho, Kansas, New Mexico, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, and Wyoming.
Responsibilities
- Drain motor oil and change oil filters.
- Wash windshields and adjust tire pressure.
- Inspect and top off vehicle fluids.
- Perform coolant exchanges.
- Restock and maintain inventory levels on the floor.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Replace wiper blades and air filters, fill tires with air, and perform other light maintenance services as trained.
