About The Position
Take 5 Oil Change is hiring a part-time Oil Change Team Member to work as a lube technician. No prior experience is required; the company provides training in oil changes, replacing wiper blades and air filters, filling tires, and other light maintenance services. The role suits people who are self-motivated, enjoy working with cars, and bring a positive attitude. Compensation is up to $15 per hour with base pay and commissions. The position offers an opportunity to advance, with paid training and a stated path from lube technician to shop leadership.
Requirements
- No prior experience required; must be willing to learn and work hard.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow, 3-foot-deep pit to position safely under vehicles.
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning for extended periods.
- Must be willing to work in hot or cold weather conditions when necessary.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop.
- Must be over 18 years old, except that applicants over 16 may qualify in Arizona, Idaho, Kansas, New Mexico, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, and Wyoming.
Responsibilities
- Drain motor oil and change oil filters.
- Wash windshields and adjust tire pressure.
- Inspect and top off fluids.
- Perform coolant exchanges.
- Restock and maintain inventory on the shop floor.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service.
