About The Position

Take 5 Oil Change is hiring a part-time Oil Change Team Member to work in its shop. No prior experience is required; paid training is provided to teach team members how to perform oil changes and other light vehicle maintenance, including replacing wiper blades and air filters and filling tires. The role offers pay up to $15 per hour with base pay and commissions. Team members may advance through the company, with more than 90% of Shop Managers having started as lube technicians.

The position involves servicing vehicles, maintaining inventory and a clean work area, and providing customer service. The job requires physical activity, including lifting up to 50 pounds and maneuvering in and out of a shallow service pit. Team members must have reliable transportation and be willing to work in hot or cold weather when necessary.

Requirements

• No experience required; must be willing to learn, work hard, and bring a positive attitude.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow, 3-foot-deep pit to position safely under cars.
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning for extended periods.
• Must be willing to work in hot or cold weather conditions if necessary.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop.
• Must be over 18 years of age, or over 16 in Arizona, Idaho, Kansas, New Mexico, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, and Wyoming.

Responsibilities

• Drain motor oil and change oil filters.
• Wash windshields and adjust tire pressure.
• Inspect and top off fluids.
• Perform coolant exchanges.
• Restock and maintain inventory levels on the floor.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work environment.
• Provide excellent customer service.
