About The Position
Take 5 Oil Change is hiring full-time crew members and lube technicians. No prior experience is required; paid training is provided. Team members learn to change oil, replace wiper blades and air filters, add air to tires, and perform other light maintenance services. The role offers base pay and commissions, with earnings of up to $15 per hour. Opportunities for advancement are available, and the company states that over 90% of its Shop Managers started as lube technicians. Flexible schedules are available. Employees can access up to 50% of earned wages early through myFlexPay.
Requirements
- No prior experience is required; must be willing to learn, work hard, and bring a positive attitude.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow, 3-foot-deep pit to position safely beneath cars.
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning for extended periods.
- Must be willing to work in hot or cold weather conditions if necessary.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop.
- Must be over 18 years of age, or over 16 in Arizona, Idaho, Kansas, New Mexico, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, and Wyoming.
Responsibilities
- Drain motor oil and change oil filters.
- Wash windshields and adjust tire pressure.
- Inspect and top off fluids.
- Perform coolant exchanges.
- Restock and maintain floor inventory levels.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service.
