About The Position

The Offshore Blaster/Painter Superintendent performs and coordinates all assigned project management functions. This includes acting as a liaison between the company and customer/customers on-site inspectors, directing project scheduling and yard operations, communicating project status with management, managing project costs with corporate accounting, and ensuring the completion of assigned projects within allotted periods and profit projections.

Requirements

  • 5+ years direct Offshore Superintendent experience
  • Proficient knowledge of offshore blasting and painting
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Valid TWIC

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Highschool diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Review project contracts and ensure an in-depth working knowledge of job specifications, material requirements, completion dates etc.
  • Coordinate and direct project activities with appropriate operational personnel to ensure an open flow of communications avoiding delays, cost overruns, fabrication errors etc.
  • Maintain positive liaison with customers, on-site customer inspectors and management to ensure an open line of communication regarding customer concerns, complaints, change orders and follow up accordingly with all applicable company management supervisors
  • Assist the client in developing work packs, associated budgets and execution sequences
  • Communicate with the Project Manager regarding the scheduling of material delivery, material specifications, origins and the cost to ensure coordination of operational functions and timely receipt of materials in that both will comply with contract specifications and schedules
  • Review and approve work schedules for assigned projects, material requisitions, percent completed schedules / reports and requests from operations regarding specification requirements
  • Work closely with project managers for production planning, schedule, budgets and progress
  • Assist offshore management in developing schedules and maintaining schedules once offshore
  • Lead large quantities of personnel and third-party contractors as one team
  • Set tracking criteria for key personnel to follow and develop a tracking form needed for such tracking
  • Maintain positive customer relations, facilitating two-way communications between management and the customer
  • Ensure that material and equipment needs are properly planned and staged in advance of the work to assure an efficient workflow
  • Review schedule, budgets and work order report to provide feedback on project progress
  • Act as team leader in safety and knowledge of all company policies and procedures
  • Foster communication, planning and personal accountability to foreman, leader and craft personnel
  • Assure proper completion of JSA’s and compliance with safety protocols
  • Pull measurements and draw / make drawings on ISO paper
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
