About The Position
An Industrial Blaster Painter prepares surfaces for painting using blasting techniques and applies industrial coatings, requiring skills in equipment operation, safety protocols, and coating application. This role involves removing dirt, rust, old paint, and other contaminants from surfaces using various blasting media (e.g., sand, grit, shot) to ensure proper adhesion and durability of the coating. The individual must ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from defects before painting. Additionally, the position requires applying industrial coatings such as paints, primers, and sealants using various methods like spray guns, brushes, and rollers, mixing and applying them according to specifications and safety guidelines.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years related experience
- Industrial and epoxy Painting experience
- Zinc coating experience
- Forklift experience
- Sandblasting experience
Nice To Haves
- SAP Experience (ERP systems a plus)
- Paint mixing experience
- Good communicator
- Attention detail (checking thickness in paint)
