About The Position

This is a physical warehouse position focused on unloading tractor-trailer loads of furniture and staging them for deliveries. The role involves assembling items according to manufacturer directions, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and interacting professionally with Drive Teams. The Offloader will assist Delivery Drivers with item placement as specified by the customer and report any customer satisfaction issues to management. Effective communication, teamwork, and adherence to Werner Final Mile Values are essential. A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required, along with the ability to work a flexible schedule.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent experience.
  • One plus years transportation / Logistics / customer product assembly / delivery of furniture or appliances, or experience with a moving company.
  • Must be 18 years old.
  • Able to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Speak English and communicate with coworkers and read assembly instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Unload tractor trailer loads of furniture and stage it for deliveries.
  • Assemble items according to manufacturer directions.
  • Perform a minimum daily assembly output as provided by management.
  • Report any defects or damages of any parts immediately to management.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace and environment.
  • Properly dispose of all waste accumulated during the assembly process.
  • Perform professionally and effectively when interacting with Drive Teams.
  • Use equipment properly to ensure the safety of all team members.
  • Follow delivery processes to ensure customer expectations are met and/or exceeded.
  • Assist the Delivery Driver execute the placement of delivery items as specified by the Customer.
  • Report all customer satisfaction issues to the management.
  • Communicate effectively, get along with co-workers, customers, and supervisors.
  • Embrace the Werner Final Mile Values.
  • Maintain a continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance.
  • Work a flexible schedule.
