The Administrative Office of the Courts and Probation (AOCP) is accepting applications for a full-time Official Court Reporter I or II/District Courtroom Clerk position in Douglas County District Court, 4th Judicial District. This is a responsible paraprofessional position involving verbatim reporting and transcribing for court proceedings, hearings, and conferences. The work involves capturing and maintaining a verbatim record of court proceedings and other matters of increased complexity. For official court reporters not interested in freelance work, the AOCP offers the option of having all equipment and software purchased and updated by the agency. This includes providing stenographic reporters with a laptop, docking station, monitor(s), steno machine, software (Eclipse by Advantage Software or Case CATalyst by Stenograph, LLC), microphone/handheld device for backup digital audio recording, and secure cloud backup storage. Digital official court reporters will be provided with an audio recording system (laptop/PC, docking station, microphone(s), mixer), monitor(s), and audio recording software (Liberty Recorder).
