About The Position

This role involves maintaining safety and security within the properties, responding to various situations, and assisting guests and team members. The officer will perform post duties, check identification, escort personnel with monetary assets, and assist with the transport of coin and currency. Responsibilities include patrolling interior and perimeter areas, identifying and resolving unusual occurrences, distributing and collecting playing cards, and ensuring paperwork accuracy. The officer will also collect cash and cash equivalents from Table Games drops, deliver them to Soft Count, and verify associated paperwork. Providing information and assistance to guests and team members is a key aspect, as is responding to emergencies such as medical incidents, severe weather, fires, thefts, assaults, bomb threats, evacuations, conflicts, and criminal activities. First aid and CPR may be required in medical emergencies, potentially involving lifting and carrying individuals or equipment.

Requirements

  • Ability to remain calm and effective in stressful situations, utilizing rational thinking and decision making.
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
  • Ability to be on feet 85% of shift.
  • Must be physically able to climb stairs repeatedly, stand for long periods of time, and walk 5 to 10 miles per shift.
  • Must be dependable, reliable, and able to work any alternating shifts, including peak hours.
  • Must be able to work all Holidays and weekends.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Any combination of post-secondary education/certification in law-enforcement, military, security fields and/or experience within law enforcement, Military, Security, or Customer Service to equal one year.
  • Must be able to pass a basic-math-skills, as well as a reading comprehension test.
  • Must be able to work in second-hand smoke, loud noise, and bright lights environment.
  • Must be able to demonstrate their US work authorization during the employment verification process.
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment and random Drug Test.
  • Must have a valid Wyoming Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be proficient working with computers, efficient typing, correct spelling, and mathematic skills.
  • Have knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Must be competent when dealing with all cash transactions.
  • Must have the ability to communicate orally and in writing.
  • Must have the ability to manage critical deadlines, prioritize effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to communicate and comprehend information and ideas in spoken and written English so that others will understand.
  • Ability to accept, prioritize and follow through on work direction.

Nice To Haves

  • Successful completion of an in-house training program which includes communication, CPR/AED, use of force, and Title 31 training.
  • Must attend all mandatory trainings and opportunities offered such as: CPR/First Aid, MICS, and all mandatory meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Perform post duty on various locations within properties.
  • Check guest identification as needed.
  • Escort team members carrying monetary assets exceeding prescribed amount and inform Surveillance.
  • Assist Hard Count Cashiers in transporting coin and currency within the casino by clearing traffic and providing escort.
  • Deliver chip buys and credit to and from Table Games pits.
  • Verify chip amounts match paperwork for various tables within the pit.
  • Provide general patrol of interior and perimeter of facilities and properties.
  • Check for unusual occurrences and resolve or report them to security supervisors.
  • Distribute playing cards to Table Games pits.
  • Collect playing cards used by the Table Games pits for disposal.
  • Verify that all paperwork is accurate and in compliance with applicable policies.
  • Dispose of cards as appropriate.
  • Collect cash and cash-equivalents from Table Games drops and deliver to Soft Count.
  • Verify all paperwork for accuracy.
  • Provide information, direction, and assistance to all guests and team members.
  • Respond to emergency situations including medical, severe weather, fires, thefts, assaults, bomb threats, evacuations as directed, physical or verbal conflicts, and criminal activities.
  • Report or resolve medical occurrences and provide first aid, as necessary.
  • Perform CPR for two minutes on victims of all sizes.
  • Carry equipment in excess of fifty pounds and assist in removing or carrying team members or guests from hazardous areas in medical emergencies.
  • All other duties as assigned.
