Grand Forks County is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Office Support Assistant to join the Sheriff’s Office on or around October 26, 2026. This position provides a wide range of clerical and administrative support and serves as an important point of contact for the public, law enforcement agencies, and other government partners. The Office Support Assistant is responsible for maintaining and processing law enforcement records, entering and verifying information, responding to public inquiries, processing reports and requests, coordinating prisoner transportation, processing permits and other documents, and providing general administrative support to the Sheriff’s Office. This position requires sound judgment, attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to work effectively in a busy environment where priorities may change throughout the day. The position also supports law enforcement operations by monitoring radio communications, relaying messages and information to field personnel, assisting with severe weather and emergency-related information, and coordinating prisoner transportation requests from law enforcement agencies, courts, and treatment facilities.
