About The Position

DL Customer Service is hiring for an Office Specialist II. You'll be a vital part of the Public Safety team by helping ensure quality customer service to the diverse citizens of Utah. This position is hybrid; two in-office days per week will be required. The ideal candidate will have work experience with customer service, handling confidential and sensitive information, speaking clearly, concisely and effectively, listening to, and understanding, information and ideas as presented verbally, finding and gathering information or data, multi-tasking while maintaining a high level of accuracy, and assisting people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service in a call center environment by responding to inbound phone calls.
  • Interact with customers to communicate information about all aspects of the Driver License Division in response to questions from the public.
  • Assist with questions which will range from very basic to very complex, including information about products and services the division provides.
  • Have extensive knowledge and understanding of the agency database and exercise judgment while applying a comprehensive knowledge of pertinent rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Handle customer complaints and offer suitable solutions.
  • Provide the public and others with information and assistance to complete forms and applications.
