About The Position

This position provides clerical and administrative support to the BHS Manager, QMHPs, QMHAs, prescribers, contractors, and volunteers in the institution. Duties include general office tasks, record processing, scheduling, and data entry to support program operations. This involves pulling and filing medical charts, prepping them for staff availability, and potentially assisting with supervisor's calendar management, including scheduling appointments, meetings, and conferences, and making travel arrangements. The role also involves working with contractors for telehealth/remote services. The incumbent is expected to perform duties promoting customer service, harmonious working relationships, effective team participation, and constructive problem-solving. The position is represented by AFSCME and may be eligible for Police & Fire (P&F) benefits through PERS.

Requirements

  • Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents.
  • OR an associate degree in any field.
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working with HIPAA protected documents
  • Scheduling in a medical setting
  • Maintaining and filling paper medical charts
  • Creating agendas and taking meeting minutes
  • Coordinating telemedicine conferencing
  • Creating and maintaining Excel Spreadsheets to track data
  • LEDS certified
  • Experience with DOC 400 computer program
  • Must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility.
  • Must complete an I-9 and confirm authorization to work in the United States within three days of hire.
