About The Position

The Office of Global Engagement Finance Specialist supports International Programs at each of the University’s campuses, Daytona Beach, Prescott, and Worldwide. The Office of Global Engagement currently serves over 300 students and is continuing to experience growth and increased activity. In this context, the Finance Specialist plays a critical role in advancing the mission of the Office of Global Engagement, creating an environment where students, staff, and faculty can be successful.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Three to five years of related professional experience.
  • Knowledge of business and financial processes and practices.
  • General knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with financial guidelines and terminology.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated research and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Administrative support for the Office of Global Engagement.
  • Coordinates travel arrangements and program activities for faculty and staff, as directed by the Director of the Office of Global Engagement.
  • Ensures travel expenses are in compliance with University policies.
  • Interfaces with suppliers to facilitate payment of program obligations.
  • Ensures all obligations are paid timely, accurately and documented appropriately.
  • Assists with the preparation of budgets for faculty-led programs.
  • Coordinates faculty-led programs to ensure program fees are paid, managed, and within budget.
  • Monitor expenditures for active programs.
  • Assists students with all aspects of program support, including but not limited to, financial aid, scholarship opportunities and the administration of financial transactions.
  • Represents the Office of Global Engagement at fairs and recruitment events.
  • Provides administrative support for faculty and staff to ensure compliance with University business expenses and travel policies as related to financials, more specifically the reconciliation of travel expense reports and procurement card verifications.
  • Assists leadership with tracking of data, key performance indicators, and other metrics, supporting tactical operations and strategic planning.
  • Assembles and maintains updated data for reporting of international programs.
  • Manages communications on behalf of the Office of Global Engagement and Accounts Payable, as directed.
  • Organizes and applies technology tools and electronic data storage.
