About The Position

The Test Proctor supports the administration of accommodated testing for students registered with the Office of Academic Accommodations and Accessibility at Elon University. This position assists in creating an accessible, secure, and supportive testing environment while maintaining academic integrity and confidentiality. The Test Proctor works closely with AAA professional staff to administer exams in accordance with approved accommodations and testing procedures. This position is temporary for the summer 2026 and will provide testing support at School of Health Sciences/Francis Center.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions accurately
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Basic computer proficiency, including email and online systems

Responsibilities

  • Administer accommodated exams for students with disabilities in accordance with approved accommodations and office procedures
  • Monitor testing environments to ensure academic integrity and compliance with testing policies
  • Verify student identity and maintain accurate testing records and documentation
  • Read and follow instructor testing instructions carefully and accurately
  • Distribute, collect, and secure testing materials before and after exams
  • Maintain confidentiality of student disability-related information in compliance with FERPA and institutional policies
  • Provide a professional, respectful, and inclusive testing environment for students
  • Communicate professionally with students, faculty, and staff regarding testing procedures as directed by AAA staff
  • Report testing irregularities, concerns, or incidents promptly to professional staff
  • Assist with organizing testing spaces and preparing materials for upcoming exams
  • Support the use of testing technology and assist students with approved testing software or equipment when needed
