About The Position

KENT® Nutrition, a member of the KENT WORLDWIDE family of companies has a great opportunity to join their team as a Office Manager in Richford, VT. This position will perform and lead the administrative and customer service functions performed in the office at the Plant. It is a full-time, hourly position with a complete benefits package and reports to the Plant Manager. The compensation range for this role is $25.00 - $30.00 an hour in addition to KENT standard benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k). Final compensation is subject to variation based on the candidate's skills, job responsibilities, location and other pertinent factors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong computer skills including but not limited to experience with Microsoft office products, especially Word and Excel.
  • Good communication, verbal, written and math skills.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Work and cooperate as a team player.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of cGMP’s, HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plan, and FSMA are beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Lead administration of daily operations which include preparing production tags, issuing returns and credits, approve and scan freight bills and vouchers, taking and dispatching orders and month end statements.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment, encouraging teamwork and collaboration.
  • Maintain clear and open communication with staff, management, and other departments.
  • Set performance goals and objectives for the team and regularly review progress.
  • Allocate resources effectively to ensure smooth operations.
  • Address and resolve promptly to minimize disruption.
  • Data entry related to daily plant operations.
  • Coordinate the procurement of ingredients and bags.
  • Work with all departments to facilitate the efficient operation of the plant.
  • Act as first point of contact to sign in visitors and vendors and ensure Safety Guidelines are signed and followed.
  • Support billing and invoicing of accounts.
  • Handle customer service complaints and refer to Quality Control Manager when necessary.
  • Receive orders in a friendly, professional, service-minded manner.
  • Prepare and/or record paperwork for customer loads, ingredients and supplies.
  • Track and record daily dealer pickups and bulk deliveries.
  • Report factors that influence the quality and safety of finished feed and ingredients to the supervisor.
  • Other clerical or administrative duties as assigned.
