About The Position

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Bilingual Office Manager (French and English) to join their Retirement management team. This pivotal role involves handling behind-the-scenes activities within the retirement residence, focusing on resident engagement, ensuring their needs are met, and addressing concerns. The Office Manager will also manage resident records, handle accounting functions (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll & Benefits, Scheduling), and lead team members to ensure an exceptional living experience. The role requires ensuring administrative processes comply with internal and regulatory standards and maintaining flexibility in schedule due to the 24/7 operation. The Office Manager will oversee receptionists, provide training, and manage the reception desk when needed, shaping the first impression for new residents.

Requirements

  • Full professional proficiency in both French and English is required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of administrative experience in an office setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Must provide a complete and current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Engaging with residents and ensuring all their needs are met.
  • Working through any concerns residents bring forth.
  • Managing resident records, ensuring they are up to date.
  • Handling accounting functions for the residence including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
  • Processing Payroll & Benefits and Scheduling.
  • Leading and engaging team members dedicated to consistently delivering an exceptional living experience for residents.
  • Ensuring all administrative processes are in compliance with internal and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Overseeing receptionists, providing training and guidance.
  • Personally managing the reception desk when necessary.
  • Shaping the first impression of new residents, both in person and over the phone.
