About The Position

The Laboratory Office Manager will assist the Lab Manager in maintaining and overseeing the general laboratory environment including cleanliness of the space, working with Purchasing to maintain inventory stock level of consumables, critical reagents and supplies essential to the operation of the Laboratory. The Laboratory Office Manager will also maintain mailings as required for the Department, has knowledge of office management responsibilities, and the ability to multitask and assist with managing Payroll and Personnel records.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree required.
  • Strong computer skills
  • At least 1 year of work experience in a hospital setting required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills required.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Organizes office operations and procedures such as payroll, filing, ordering supplies as appropriate and flow of correspondence.
  • Maintains personnel records timely to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Generate monthly and daily reports for quality and POC meetings
  • Print, copy, mail, scan and fax report as required.
  • Retrieve results as required.
  • Communicate appropriately with clients, medical and nursing staff, co-workers and the public.
  • Completes records.
  • Maintain inventories.
  • Scheduling staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Laboratory Manager or Supervisor.
