About The Position

The Officer Manager for Facilities Management is responsible for departmental office operations, including being the main point of contact for communications from residents and staff. This position manages work orders in the Computerized Maintenance Management System ( CMMS ), maintains the SPOTS building information, and oversees department vehicles and asset management. This position is also responsible for the inventory and database of departmental furnishings, equipment, stock, and other assets in residence halls. Other responsibilities are managing the operational facilities budget within Carolina Housing, attending monthly budget meetings with the Business Services Manager, and working closely with the Business Services staff to process expenditures according to University policies and procedures. This position is responsible for a University Pcard, purchasing of appliances, enhancement items, and other operational necessities. This position assists with coordination of outside vendors such as flooring installations, gaming equipment set-ups, furniture deliveries, and piano tuning.
