We are hiring an Office Manager and Proofreader to join our team located in Sacramento, California.

Requirements

  • Ability to balance many different tasks and priorities with a good attitude and creative approach.
  • Ability to meet the needs of customers and parent company, quickly and politely.
  • Knowledge of the California Capitol and politics, experience preferred but not required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior professional work experience in office management.
  • Knowledge of customer service best practices, editing and proofreading.
  • Adept with learning/improving proprietary software.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and write items daily following a specific format.
  • Proofread the Capitol Morning Report for correct names, dates, times, etc. and grammatical consistency.
  • Lead customer support operations, helping subscribers get information they need.
  • Manage office operations, including overseeing staff needs, supplies and workplace environment.
  • Assist in administrative coordination with State Affairs, our parent organization.
