About The Position

The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) seeks an experienced and organized Office Manager & Administrative Lead to provide administrative and project management support to the Office of the Dean while serving as a lead resource, mentor, and trainer for administrative staff across the College's departments. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for Dean's Office operations, manage a wide range of administrative duties requiring confidentiality, sound judgment, and independent reasoning, and serve as the go-to resource for administrative staff throughout CAS on matters of office procedure, systems, and professional development. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Two or more years of office management experience in a higher education or similarly complex organization.
  • Thorough knowledge of office practices, procedures, and management, and the ability to apply this knowledge to effectively manage daily office operations across multiple departments.
  • Experience in training, mentoring, or developing other administrative staff.
  • Skill in using electronic and computerized office equipment and systems.
  • Experience and ability to plan, organize, and work efficiently, accurately, and independently, while exercising sound judgment.
  • Experience exercising discretion with confidential matters and dealing tactfully with others.
  • Experience handling numerous and complex assignments simultaneously in an effective and efficient manner.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree.
  • Ability to coordinate the efforts of others in accomplishing assigned work objectives, including in a lead capacity without direct supervisory authority.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty members, staff, and stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.
