About The Position

Requirements

Minimum five (5) years of experience with rail construction projects including swapping out turnouts, automated switches and working in an activated rail terminal.
Approximately three (3) years of experience working as Office Engineer on large heavy construction projects or heavy construction projects of similar complexity.
Bachelor’s degree or Certificate in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or another related field.
Valid California Class C driver’s license.
Competent in using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

Coordinate the approval process for documents and contract changes.
Manage and maintain the Document Control/Change Control process for all project documents.
Maintain controlled distribution lists.
Provide technical support to the Construction Manager.
Receive, record, and compile review comments.
Assist in coordinating services with outside agencies.
Assist in preparing project closeout documentation.
Attend and document project meetings (write agendas and minutes).
Perform expediting functions and prepare and maintain an expediting log.
