About The Position

The Office Coordinator supervises the front office and performs Patient Care Coordinator activities. This role involves staff management, auditing for accuracy, maintaining quality control, and managing daily, weekly, and monthly schedules. The coordinator will interview and train new staff, provide coverage for certain positions, and assist the Practice Manager, including handling non-clinical coverage, facility and equipment needs, patient satisfaction, and patient complaints. Additionally, the role includes verifying patient eligibility, establishing payment plans, purchasing supplies, filing insurance, and distributing refunds.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Medical office experience preferred.
  • Medical terminology preferred.
  • Supervision experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills required.
  • Excellent computer skills required.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Must speak and read English very well.
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively with patients, staff and physicians.
  • Must have the ability to search for solutions, direct activities of others.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the front office.
  • Performs Patient Care Coordinator activities, including staff management; auditing for accuracy; maintaining quality control; maintaining daily, weekly, monthly schedules.
  • Interviews new or replacement staff, coordinates cross-training of staff and provides the coverage of certain positions.
  • Assists the Practice Manager or function in the role of Practice Manager during absences, including non-clinical coverage, facility and equipment needs, patient satisfaction, and patient complaints.
  • Verifies patient eligibility before treatment is rendered and establishes payment plan on outstanding balances.
  • Purchases office and medical supplies, files insurance, and distributes refunds.
