About The Position

IDOC is looking to hire an Office Associate that will serve as the secretary in the Health Care Unit by providing clerical support to the supervisor and professional staff. If you are detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task, this position is for you. We strongly encourage all qualified applicants to apply.

Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and two (2) years of office experience.
  • Requires ability to type accurately at 45 wpm.
  • Requires ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check.
  • Requires ability to pass a drug screen.
  • Applicants are required to abide by all vaccine and/or other medical standards as set out by the employer.
  • Required to utilize digital technology, tools, platforms, and processes in managing and supporting various digital enhancements for greater efficiency, productivity, and digital transformation efforts within the department.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a secretary in the Health Care Unit.
  • Keyboards a variety of complex charts, reports, meeting minutes, documents, forms, memoranda, and correspondence that include legal, medical, and/or psychological terminology.
  • Provides clerical support to supervisor and professional staff.
  • Serves as receptionist to Health Care Unit (HCU) administration area.
  • Enters, updates, and retrieves data from Offender 360 (O360).
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
