About The Position

Under the direction of the Point Defiance Marina Supervisor and Assistant Supervisor, you'll provide administrative support for the Point Defiance Marina and the ongoing short and long term tenant accounts managed within it. This position performs clerical and administrative duties and specialized tasks in support of the Marina. Serves as the point of direct contact with Marina tenants, other employees and the public at large. Duties include, but are not limited to, providing information, assigning new accounts, tallying daily revenue, typing and updating of Marina records. The Point Defiance Marina provides short and long term moorage for in-water vessels, dry storage for small vessels, and kayak storage, and those leases are managed through software and paper files. Independently organizes, prioritizes, and initiates work activities, resolving problems and deviations in accordance with instructions, policies, and accepted practices. Guidance is provided in new or unusual situations. This role requires initiative in completing most assignments independently without specific instructions. You'll spend some of your day outside at the Marina while you assist customers with on-water moorage spaces and upland dry storage lockers. You'll administer various applications and lists, and your eye for organization and detail will help ensure a great experience for our marina customers. Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • 2 years of administrative experience required.
  • Valid Driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for marina operations by supporting tenant accounts, maintaining records, processing revenue, and coordinating customer communication in alignment with established procedures.
  • Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
  • Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers.
  • Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
  • Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.
  • Observe applicable safety requirements, use safety equipment provided, implement appropriate safety practices at all times and report immediately any unsafe working conditions or hazards.
  • Provide information and assistance to tenants, customers, and the public regarding marina services, rates, and storage options.
  • Assign moorage and storage, process fees, issue keys, and update records.
  • Handle customer forms, applications, deposits, and payment processing.
  • Prepare routine financial and management reports.
  • Maintain tenant records and handle routine marina correspondence.
  • Perform general clerical, reception, and office support duties.
  • Operate a motorized vehicle to travel to multiple locations to carry out essential duties.
  • Adhere to all driving laws and safety rules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Provide clear work direction and guidance to assigned team.
