About The Position

Loop Paper Recycling, a leading recycling facility and part of the Recycling IT family of companies, is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented part-time Office Assistant. This role is a key support within daily operations, working closely with plant personnel, drivers, and management to ensure smooth communication, accurate data processing, and efficient administrative support across multiple departments. The Office Assistant will be the first point of contact for incoming calls, assist with route and scale operations, and help maintain the organization and accuracy of essential business records. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can multitask effectively, and enjoys being part of a team that keeps operations running smoothly. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, industrial office environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes

Nice To Haves

  • 2–3 years of office or administrative experience preferred
  • Experience in recycling, waste management, logistics, or transportation industries
  • Familiarity with scale operations or dispatching (a plus, but not required)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate team members
  • Provide professional and timely customer service
  • Enter and process data related to driver paperwork
  • Close out daily routes, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation
  • Operate scale functions, including weighing trucks in and out
  • Maintain organized filing systems and accurate office records
  • Generate routine operational and administrative reports
  • Assist with dispatch coordination, scheduling, and logistics support
  • Maintain and update customer and operational data in internal systems
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, plant staff, and multiple company locations
  • Provide general administrative support to plant and operations management
