About The Position

This is a temporary hire position for an Office Assistant, with a commitment of 4-6 months. The role involves supporting Buyers with purchase order creation, maintenance, and follow-up, as well as assisting the Scheduling team with production schedules and planning data. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and experience with ERP/MRP systems is preferred. The ideal candidate can manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in procurement, scheduling, supply chain, or administrative support preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support Buyers with purchase order creation, maintenance, and follow-up activities.
  • Monitor and update order status information in ERP or purchasing systems.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding delivery dates, order confirmations, and documentation requests.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and vendor information.
  • Assist Scheduling team with updating production schedules and planning data.
  • Track material availability and notify appropriate personnel of potential shortages or delays.
  • Generate and distribute purchasing, scheduling, and inventory reports.
  • Ensure data accuracy across procurement and scheduling systems.
  • Coordinate with internal departments including production, warehouse, customer service, and purchasing.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement and scheduling processes.
  • Perform other administrative and operational duties as assigned.
