About The Position

This position is within the Supported Employment in State Government (SESG) per the requirements of RCW 41.04.770. Applicants must be eligible for the SESG Program and also meet the qualifications for this position. The Programs and Services Division (PSD) has an opportunity for an Office Assistant to join their Application and Issuance team. Requirements

  • Two (2) years of experience and responsibility in an office performing one (1) or more of the following: Clerical or administrative duties such as reviewing documents, records, reports, and/or applications for completeness and accuracy and basic office production functions.
  • Data Entry.
  • Customer Service.
  • The ability to understand and follow agency values of respect, trust, diversity, equity, and inclusion through behaviors, and decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year experience composing clear, professionally appropriate, technically correct, and step-by-step instruction responses to customers.
  • Experience using computer equipment and Microsoft Office applications (such as word, excel, outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) or similar systems.
  • Experience applying complex rules, laws, and policies or procedures to business practices.
  • Experience using various functionality within DRIVES or similar systems.
  • The ability investigate inventory discrepancies.

Responsibilities

  • Performing tasks such as copying, filing, faxing, shredding, and sending documents as assigned.
  • Performing online renewals, vault related duties such as organizing, inventory deliveries, lifting and handling boxes of license plates, stuffing envelopes with inventory, moving supply orders, and assisting other team members with similar tasks.
  • Analyzing documents for accuracy and completeness while following strict security procedures.
  • Manage and organize all incoming mailed correspondence directed to the unit.
  • Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Perform repetitive motions daily.
  • Frequent filing, sorting, data entry, and document handling.
