About The Position

This position is part of the team that provides administrative support for the Southeast region of the Division of Commercial Fisheries. You’ll be responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll, Personnel Action Requests, payroll reconciliation, and data entry. Requirements

  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • One year of experience that includes clerical tasks such as greeting clients, answering phones, typing, filing, sorting mail, entering data, receiving payments, making change, or maintaining logs.
  • Skill in using computer software programs to maintain staff information such as word processing, spreadsheet creation and maintenance, as well as the ability to learn state and department proprietary computer systems.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, apply, and explain policies and procedures, bargaining contracts, rules, and instructions.
  • Able to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to remain organized with projects, email management, and trackers; thorough when performing work and display high level of effort and commitment towards performing work.
  • Adjusts planned work by gathering relevant information and applying critical thinking to address multiple demands and competing priorities in a changing environment.
