About The Position

Performs routine clerical, administrative and box office tasks at the Florissant Performing Arts Center. Works under the direct supervision of the Assistant Theatre Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • Comfort with computer systems & ticketing software
  • Accuracy in managing financial transactions
  • Ability to interact with the public in a professional manner, including maintaining composure while managing challenging customer situations
  • Demonstrated track record of providing excellent customer service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Extraordinary attention to detail
  • Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheets
  • Familiarity with financial / accounting software preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist guests at the Box Office window, addressing any seating concerns and resolving ticketing issues
  • Process in-person, phone and online ticket sales using the theatre’s ticketing software ThunderTix
  • Reconcile cash drawer, prepare daily cash deposits and reporting needed by Finance
  • Organize “will call” tickets
  • Assist in drafting, editing and formatting Box Office Statements under the direction of the Assistant Theatre Manager
  • Answering, screening and directing phone calls for the Theatre department
  • Maintain internal calendar for all theatre events
  • Assist in contract & insurance maintenance, ensuring all contracts are signed and filed in a timely manner & each contract has an up-to-date insurance certificate on file
  • Ensure that all payments to the theatre are accurately input into Square in a timely and accurate manner
  • Provide documentation needed by the Finance department to reconcile all theatre payments
  • Manage theatre files and update filing procedures and practices
  • Prepare check requests, invoices and other payments as requested for the Theatre department
  • Code Theatre department expenditures as needed
  • Order office supplies
  • Prepare agendas, taking minutes for staff meetings
  • Assist in the organization of the St. Louis Family Theatre Series (SLFTS) school contracts & payments, in addition to scheduling ushers for all SLFTS performances
  • Provide support with the installation and de-installation of art displays in theatre lobby
  • Performs other duties as requested
