The OEM Account Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational support and execution of OEM-related activities within the department. This role ensures continuity, organization, and follow-through across OEM partner engagements, internal communications, and departmental processes. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the retail automotive industry, including dealership operations and OEM business practices. This role manages OEM communications and time-sensitive integration projects for PBS while serving as the voice of the customer in internal discussions. The OEM Account Manager advocates for dealership client needs and helps ensure those needs are reflected in program design and execution. The OEM Account Manager leverages strong relationship management skills to ensure manufacturer objectives are clearly understood, effectively managed, and communicated across internal teams while aligning with overall business strategy and corporate priorities. This role supports all aspects of OEM-related communications, establishes and tracks integration project milestones, and facilitates collaborative problem-solving discussions with internal stakeholders. This is an in-office position located in Calgary, AB and is not a remote opportunity. There could be an opportunity to work out of our Milton, ON office for the right individual.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience within the retail automotive industry; dealership, and/or OEM ecosystem
  • Demonstrated ability to build, maintain, and strengthen client relationships
  • Strong technical proficiency, including experience with Dealer Management Systems (DMS), Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain close working relationships with internal PBS departments and cross-functional teams to support OEM initiatives and ongoing communication alignment
  • Act as the operational lead for various day-to-day OEM department activities, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and follow through
  • Serve as a secondary liaison for OEM partners, managing routine coordination, scheduling, documentation, and follow ups
  • Plan, coordinate, and document OEM partner meetings as required, including agendas, pre reads, minutes, and action item tracking
  • Track OEM projects, initiatives, and timelines, proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and gaps and escalating with recommendations
  • Maintain records of OEM activities within the PBS CRM tool ‘Pipeline,’ ensuring visibility and historical access for leadership
  • Support the preparation and delivery of OEM related presentations, communications, initiatives, and events
  • Maintain a working knowledge of PBS DMS functionality to support effective internal coordination and credible OEM communication
  • Represent the OEM department professionally in internal forums and, where appropriate, external engagements
  • Track and document departmental processes for clarity and alignment with corporate requirements
  • Obtain 1 PBS Software Certification within the first year of employment
