About The Position
Hytrol Manufacturing, a division of Advance Turning & Manufacturing, Inc., is a precision manufacturer serving the medical, aerospace, and other high-performance industries. We’re looking for an experienced OD/ID Grinder to join our team at our Westland, Michigan facility. Do you take pride in precision? Requirements
- 3+ years of OD/ID grinding experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of grinding processes, setups, and tooling.
- Ability to consistently hold tight tolerances.
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and GD&T.
- Proficiency with precision inspection and measurement equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with stainless steels, high-nickel alloys, or other difficult-to-machine materials is a plus.
- CNC grinding experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate OD/ID grinding equipment to produce precision components.
- Grind a variety of materials, including stainless steels and high-nickel alloys.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
- Select appropriate grinding wheels, tooling, and workholding methods.
- Make machine adjustments and offsets to maintain tight dimensional requirements.
- Inspect finished components using precision measuring equipment.
- Troubleshoot grinding and process issues to maintain quality and productivity.
- Maintain consistent surface finishes and dimensional accuracy.
- Work independently while collaborating with engineering, quality, and production teams.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
