About The Position

Acrisure is seeking a OCIP Safety Manager to join our growing team in TEMECULA, CA. This role involves overseeing and auditing construction safety, monitoring adherence to the OCIP safety manual and OSHA requirements, performing site inspections, identifying and mitigating hazards, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. The manager will also be responsible for reporting, attending meetings, and educating site workers on safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Oversee and audit construction safety
  • Monitor adherence to the OCIP safety manual.
  • Perform Daily Safety reviews of work in progress
  • Submit Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Safety reports as required
  • Monitor compliance to Safety Requirements of the Safety Manual
  • Monitor adherence to Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) requirements and procedures.
  • Monitor compliance to all current OSHA requirements that relate to the specific construction projects.
  • Attend any required meetings and provide safety reports/analysis as requested.
  • Confirm contractors are reporting all recordable injuries and near-miss incidents within the required timelines and by filing the proper forms.
  • Perform ongoing construction site safety inspections and generate safety reports for the site.
  • Identify site safety hazards and provide immediate direction to contractor safety representative to eliminate or mitigate them.
  • Perform reviews and inspections of the jobsite to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and applicable codes.
  • Participate in site inspections and testing as necessary for required permits, including confined space, hot work, trenching, etc.
  • Accompany OSHA representatives on site walks to observe and record.
  • Confirm that the New Hire Safety Orientation on-line safety training is available onsite.
  • Confirm that contractors are performing tailgate safety meetings and training as required by their Contract and/or OSHA requirements.
  • Monitor adherence to policy for workers found not in compliance with the Program’s safety policy.
  • Conduct project safety stand-downs with all crews to review the incident for injuries.
  • Educate all site workers on how to prevent a repeat accident.
