About The Position

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced OCI Solutions Architect to architect, deploy, and operate large-scale, secure, and resilient cloud environments on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The role owns the full OCI engineering lifecycle, from landing-zone design and infrastructure as code through workload migration, ongoing operations, cost optimization, and observability. The architect partners with database, application, and security teams to deliver cloud platforms supporting mission-critical Oracle and non-Oracle workloads. This is a full-time, remote, direct W2 position with Bright Vision Technologies, based in the continental United States. The work is part of the company’s in-house Statement of Work engagement, with no third-party client, vendor, or implementation partner. The salary range is $100,000–$150,000. Candidates must complete a technical coding assessment. No new H1B sponsorship is available; qualified candidates who require a transfer of a valid H1B visa may apply. C2C, 1099, and third-party arrangements are not accepted.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Five or more years of cloud engineering experience, including strong hands-on experience with OCI.
  • Production-level experience with Terraform infrastructure as code.
  • Solid experience with OCI compute, networking, storage, identity, and database services.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Container Engine for Kubernetes (OKE).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for cloud workloads.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash.
  • Deep understanding of cloud security, IAM, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with observability tooling and incident response.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Willingness to work as a full-time W2 employee and contribute to Bright Vision Technologies’ in-house SOW deliverables.
  • Confidence in technical abilities and hands-on experience, and willingness to complete a mandatory technical coding assessment.

Nice To Haves

  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Professional certification.
  • Experience operating Oracle Exadata Cloud or Autonomous Database at scale.
  • Exposure to multi-cloud architectures spanning OCI and AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Familiarity with FinOps practices on OCI.
  • Experience operating regulated workloads on OCI.
  • A valid H1B visa requiring transfer; the employer supports transfers for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, deploy, and operate enterprise OCI landing zones, compartments, and tenancy structures in alignment with governance and compliance standards.
  • Design and implement OCI networking topologies, including VCNs, subnets, gateways, FastConnect, IPSec VPN, and DRG-based hub-and-spoke architectures.
  • Build and maintain OCI infrastructure as code using Terraform and OCI Resource Manager, with version control, peer review, and automated validation.
  • Implement IAM policies, corporate identity-provider federation, and role-based access-control patterns using OCI Identity Domains.
  • Design and operate OCI compute and storage services, including VMs, bare-metal, OKE, Object Storage, Block Volumes, File Storage, and Archive Storage.
  • Operate OCI database services, including Autonomous Database, Exadata Cloud, MySQL HeatWave, and Base Database, in partnership with DBA teams.
  • Build CI/CD pipelines using OCI DevOps or external platforms such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions for infrastructure and applications.
  • Implement observability using OCI Monitoring, Logging, and APM, including integrations with third-party observability stacks.
  • Drive cost optimization through right-sizing, lifecycle management, and architectural simplification.
  • Design disaster-recovery and business-continuity solutions across OCI regions and availability domains.
  • Strengthen security using OCI Cloud Guard, Security Zones, Vault, and Data Safe, and lead remediation of findings.
  • Advise application development teams on OCI-native design patterns and best practices.
  • Develop automation tooling in Python, Bash, and Terraform to reduce operational toil.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal cloud communities of practice.
