About The Position

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Colorado School of Medicine is hiring a full-time faculty member for its Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Program. The position provides direct patient services in the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Outpatient Clinic. The clinician joins a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers serving community members with OCD who need a higher level of care. The program uses Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP); the therapist must be willing to learn and implement ERP if not already trained. The IOP runs Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. The therapist leads groups focused on psychoeducation, skills development, and experiential activities; provides brief check-in appointments of 30 minutes or less; and completes exposures with IOP patients. The therapist also provides a monthly support-systems group and maintains a small outpatient caseload for patients who have stepped down from IOP. Participation in team meetings before the IOP day is expected. This open-rank faculty position may be appointed at the Instructor or Senior Instructor level, based on experience and qualifications. It is hybrid, with three days per week on campus and additional in-person attendance as needed for meetings.
