About The Position

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Colorado School of Medicine invites applications for an Integrated MLT position in the Young Mothers and Families Clinic (YMFC) at Children’s Hospital Colorado. YMFC is a pediatric primary care clinic serving adolescent mothers up to age 25 and their children. Its comprehensive multidisciplinary care includes social work, case management, resource connection and support, integrated behavioral health services, pediatric and well-woman care, and family planning services. The clinic is part of the Department of Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital Colorado, and its behavioral health program is a collaboration between the Department of Pediatrics and the Pediatric Mental Health Institute. The Integrated MLT provides direct patient care in an ambulatory setting to high-risk and psychosocially complex parenting adolescents and their children. In collaboration with the behavioral health team, the role consults on developmental, psychosocial, and mental health concerns and provides brief interventions, support, and psychoeducation. The position works closely with medical providers, a nurse, care coordinator, family navigator, psychiatrist, psychologists, and other pediatric integrated behavioral health clinicians. The role serves a racially and ethnically diverse, low-socioeconomic-status population, with nearly 90% publicly insured. The position is described as hybrid, with three days per week on campus and in-person attendance as needed for meetings. Clinical services are provided in person. The appointment is open rank at Instructor or Senior Instructor, with rank determined by experience and qualifications.
