Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) - PRN Days | Round Rock Rehab
About The Position
PAM Health is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA) to provide care to a diverse patient population at Round Rock Rehab. The role focuses on chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. The ideal candidate has prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn. Under the direction of the Occupational Therapist, the OTA provides direct patient care and plans and implements specific treatment programs for individual patients in accordance with occupational therapy principles and practices and PAM Health system requirements. The assistant must be flexible to meet the system’s needs across different facilities and perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
- Licensed as an OTA in the state where the hospital or clinic resides.
- Current BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- One year of clinical experience is preferred.
- Prior inpatient hospital experience, or a desire and commitment to learn.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the direction of the Occupational Therapist.
- Plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients according to occupational therapy principles and practices.
- Remain flexible to meet the needs of the system across different facilities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
