About The Position

Arbor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Services is seeking a committed, patient-focused Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide rehabilitation services at its Vermillion, Ohio location. The role provides occupational therapy treatments to help patients increase independence and functioning under the supervision of a Licensed Occupational Therapist. The company is family owned and operated and is dedicated to quality patient care and customer service.

Requirements

• Valid license to practice occupational therapy.
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication, critical-thinking, and basic math skills.
• Compassion, patience, and a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

• Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement each patient's individualized treatment plan as established by the primary Occupational Therapist.
• Work with other members of the rehabilitation team to implement programs consistent with each patient's needs and capabilities.
• Assist the Occupational Therapist when they perform tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
• Under the Occupational Therapist's supervision, instruct patients, families, and other caregivers in skills and techniques used in the occupational therapy treatment program.
