About The Position

Concept Rehab & Engage Consulting is looking for a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our therapy team in Charlevoix, Michigan! This is a flexible PRN opportunity where you can make a meaningful difference in the lives of your patients while maintaining your current schedule.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Current Michigan OTA license or eligibility for licensure.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate, patient-centered approach.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Nice To Haves

Skilled nursing, post-acute or geriatric experience is a plus.
New graduates are welcome to apply!

Responsibilities

Work under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide quality, patient-centered care.
Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions according to established treatment plans.
Help patients improve independence with activities of daily living and functional tasks.
Provide therapeutic activities and exercises.
Assist patients with improving strength, coordination, mobility and safety.
Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising OT.
Educate patients and caregivers as appropriate.
Complete accurate and timely documentation.
Collaborate with PT, SLP, nursing and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
Promote patient safety and positive outcomes.
Build meaningful relationships with patients and their families.
