About The Position
Concept Rehab & Engage Consulting is looking for a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our therapy team in Charlevoix, Michigan! This is a flexible PRN opportunity where you can make a meaningful difference in the lives of your patients while maintaining your current schedule.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current Michigan OTA license or eligibility for licensure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Nice To Haves
- Skilled nursing, post-acute or geriatric experience is a plus
- New graduates are welcome to apply!
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions according to established treatment plans
- Help patients improve independence with activities of daily living and functional tasks
- Provide therapeutic activities and exercises
- Assist patients with improving strength, coordination, mobility and safety
- Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising OT
- Educate patients and caregivers as appropriate
- Complete accurate and timely documentation
- Collaborate with PT, SLP, nursing and other members of the interdisciplinary team
- Promote patient safety and positive outcomes
- Build meaningful relationships with patients and their families
