About The Position

Avante at Leesburg is seeking a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide occupational therapy services to residents at its skilled nursing facility. The role assists with assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, documentation, and communication, and functions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. The position requires carrying out treatment plans designed by the supervising therapist, documenting daily care according to established guidelines, and communicating residents’ responses to interventions to residents, families, and other team members. Employment is per diem PRN, and the posting advertises daily pay.

Requirements

Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Successful completion of the National Certification for Occupational Therapy Assistants.
Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure.
Ability to carry out treatment plans as designed by the supervising therapist.
Ability to document daily care according to established guidelines.
Ability to effectively communicate responses to treatment interventions to residents, families, and other team members.
The posting lists 0–3 years of long-term care experience.
Must undergo background screening through the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
