Restore of Birmingham is seeking a Full-Time Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to provide therapy to patients in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting. The OTA will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, utilizing various therapeutic techniques. The role involves treating patients with respect, dignity, and privacy, motivating them to participate in therapy, and adhering to the established plan of treatment. Creative interventions tailored to patient interests and needs are encouraged to achieve positive outcomes. The OTA will also participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to assess patient needs, develop care plans, and create functional maintenance programs. Accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, clearly demonstrating medical necessity, is crucial. Proficiency in using the company's computer system and adherence to company policy are also required.
