About The Position

This position is for an Occupational Therapist working day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with a guaranteed 36 hours per week during the assignment. The Occupational Therapist provides rehabilitation services to patients who require assistance improving functional independence following injury, illness, or physical limitations. The role focuses on helping patients regain or improve the ability to perform daily living activities such as mobility, self-care, coordination, and cognitive tasks. The therapist works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals to support recovery and enhance overall patient outcomes. The position requires strong clinical judgment, patient-centered care, and the ability to adapt treatment plans based on individual patient needs. The therapist will manage a consistent caseload and contribute to a supportive rehabilitation environment focused on improving patient quality of life and independence.

Requirements

  • Hold an active Occupational Therapist license in the appropriate state
  • Possess a degree from an accredited occupational therapy program, typically a Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of occupational therapy techniques including functional mobility training, activities of daily living (ADL) retraining, and adaptive equipment use
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and educating patients and families about therapy goals and progress
  • Experience documenting therapy services using electronic medical record systems
  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations and facility policies

  • Prior experience working in rehabilitation settings such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, or post-acute care environments
