About The Position
KORT Physical Therapy, Select Medical’s outpatient division, is seeking an Occupational Therapist with hand therapy experience to provide outpatient care in Louisville, Kentucky. KORT is described as a leading employer for hand therapy throughout Kentucky and Southern Indiana, with more than 70 clinics in the region. The role uses best practices and evidence-based programs to provide individualized care. The therapist works with clinic staff that may include physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, occupational therapists, certified occupational therapy assistants, and athletic trainers, and collaborates with a regional group of Certified Hand Therapists for support, education, and schedule coverage. Clinics are equipped to treat patients receiving postsurgical and non-operative care, as well as work conditioning, with opportunities to work closely with hand surgeons. Hand therapy experience or being exam-ready, together with completed hand therapy fieldwork, is required.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school for Occupational or Physical Therapy.
- Hand therapy experience in outpatient orthopedics within the last three years.
- Eligible to sit for the Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) exam.
- National registration and state licensure or registration.
- Solid experience in custom orthotic fabrication and provision of postsurgical care for upper-extremity conditions.
- Hand therapy experience or exam-ready status, with completed hand therapy fieldwork.
