About The Position

RUSH Kids Pediatric Therapy is seeking a part-time pediatric occupational therapist to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team in Libertyville. The therapist will evaluate and treat pediatric patients with a range of diagnoses, including sensory processing and emotional regulation concerns, developmental delay, cerebral palsy, genetic disorders, autism spectrum disorders, feeding disorders, and visual motor deficits. The role involves collaborating with other professionals to help children reach their goals and learn new skills. New graduates are welcome to apply.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school for occupational therapy.
• State occupational therapist license or eligibility for licensure.
• CPR certification.
• Valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow the applicable state Practice Act and laws governing occupational therapy practice and supervision.
• Collaborate with the referring physician to develop objective patient goals and establish the type, frequency, and duration of occupational therapy.
• Supervise and delegate occupational therapy care within state rules and federal regulations.
• Provide comprehensive, individualized treatment programs and complete patient care and documentation responsibilities.
• Participate in designing and implementing new programs or procedures with manager and referring physician approval and in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Stay current with occupational therapy research and use evidence-based practice, incorporating research, clinician expertise, and patient perception.
