About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation at Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC) in Dallas, TX is seeking a Full Time Occupational Therapist (OT) for their Acute NICU unit. BUMC is a distinguished teaching hospital recognized nationally, offering multiple clinical specialties including Level III NICU. This role offers opportunities to rotate positions, expand treatment skills, and develop clinical specializations within a fast-paced acute care environment. The facility provides a robust professional support and development system, including a New Graduate Program, Advanced Practice Mentoring, Board Certification preparation, and clinical instructor preparation.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of full-time neonatal intensive care unit experience.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist required.
• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction.
• Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients.
• Ensures the design of functional treatment programs allowing for an effective return to community activities.
• Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, co-workers and self.
• Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services and design of program delivery.
