About The Position

Park Nicollet is hiring a Float Occupational Therapist to join its Pediatric Rehab team. The role provides direct, patient-focused, evidence-based occupational therapy across multiple outpatient rehabilitation sites. It supports staffing continuity by covering extended leaves of absence and planned or unplanned PTO. The therapist is assigned a primary geographic region and will predominantly work at sites in that region; assignments may occasionally extend to an adjacent region, while system-wide deployment outside the primary region is uncommon and would generally be communicated in advance when feasible. The Float Occupational Therapist practices within state licensure and clinical guidelines and supports the organization’s values through daily departmental operations. The role includes direct patient care, professional development, outcome and competency monitoring, compliance with professional and regulatory standards, and participation in process improvements intended to advance patient outcomes and satisfaction. The therapist communicates professionally and clearly with staff, patients, families, physicians, and other customers, and demonstrates listening, conflict management, problem-solving, decision-making, and process-improvement skills. The position is 24 hours per week (0.6 FTE), generally consisting of three 8-hour daytime shifts, Monday through Friday. Schedules are built 2–3 months in advance. Locations include Saint Louis Park, Burnsville, and Maple Grove. Some weekend shifts may be required, with the possibility of a Saturday shift.
