About The Position

Park Nicollet is hiring a Float Occupational Therapist to join its Pediatric Rehab team. The role provides direct, patient-focused, evidence-based occupational therapy across multiple outpatient rehabilitation sites in the health system, supporting coverage for extended leaves of absence and planned or unplanned PTO. The therapist is assigned a primary geographic region and will predominantly work at sites within that region; assignments may occasionally extend to an adjacent region based on organizational need. System-wide deployment outside the primary region is uncommon and would occur only in exceptional circumstances, with advance notice whenever operationally feasible. Practice must comply with state licensure, clinical guidelines, professional standards, and the professional code of ethics. The Float Occupational Therapist contributes to departmental operations and the organization’s values through direct patient care, professional growth and development, outcome and competency monitoring, compliance with professional organizations and regulatory standards, and participation in process improvements to advance patient outcomes and satisfaction. The role requires timely, clear, and professional communication with staff, patients, families, physicians, and other internal and external customers, as well as listening, conflict management, system problem-solving, decision-making, and process-improvement skills. This position is 24 hours per week (0.6 FTE), generally scheduled for three 8-hour daytime shifts per week, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of a Saturday shift. The schedule is built 2–3 months in advance. Locations include Saint Louis Park, Burnsville, and Maple Grove. Some weekend shifts may be required as determined.
