About The Position

Adventist HealthCare, Inc. seeks an Occupational Therapist in Rockville, MD. This position is responsible for providing occupational therapy services to patients in an acute care setting. The role involves evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to improve patients' functional abilities. The Occupational Therapist will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist.
• Maryland OT License.
• AHA HCP CPR or AHA BLS (CPR and AED) certification, or similar.
• Nationally recognized certification such as AOTA or NBCOT, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to patients in an acute care setting.
• Evaluate patients' functional status, including physical, cognitive, and psychosocial aspects.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
• Implement therapeutic interventions, including exercises, adaptive equipment training, and patient/family education.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in team meetings and case conferences.
• Maintain professional knowledge and skills through continuing education.
