About The Position

Lifemark is a national healthcare company with over 25 years of service excellence in community rehabilitation, workplace health and wellness, and independent medical assessments. They are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join their team in Saskatoon or Regina, Canada. This role involves collaborating with leaders to develop programs that help clients recover from pain and injuries, enabling them to return to their desired lives. The successful candidate will provide both individual and program-based treatments and assessments for individuals recovering from motor vehicle accidents and workplace injuries. They will also support veterans, Canadian Armed Forces members, first responders, and individuals with physical, cognitive, and mental wellness goals through Partners in Canadian Rehab Services.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience minimum in mental health
  • A minimum of 3 years as an Occupational Therapist
  • Knowledge of current Occupational Therapy standards, modalities and scope of practice; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists in your province.
  • Can independently service complex assessments
  • Can act as a preceptor or Supervisor if required
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle may be required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Clinical experience in areas such as brain injury/neurological rehabilitation, mental health, musculoskeletal/orthopedic injury, home safety, ergonomics and/or return to work.
  • Passion for your profession and commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Superior interpersonal relations, communication, problem-solving, time management, computer and documentation skills
  • Proficiency in computer skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Bilingualism - French and English are assets.

Responsibilities

  • Complete Physical & Cognitive Job Demand Analysis
  • Evaluate the worker's physical, cognitive, and psychological functions, as well as job demands and workplace environment
  • Concussion management and return to function planning
  • Perform clinical evaluations, provide exercises, functional tasks, and cognitive strategies (e.g., pacing, energy conservation) to address injury-related deficits.
  • Teach techniques like mindfulness, relaxation, and sleep hygiene to manage pain, fatigue, and emotional distress.
  • Functional and cognitive work capacity assessments and Ergonomic assessments with follow-ups
  • Cognitive and functional job coaching
  • Record assessment and treatment interventions in the client's chart
  • Excel in a collaborative, inter-disciplinary team environment
  • Exhibit sound professional judgment
